WELCOME TO TRAVELCHIC340

TRAVELCHIC340
For several years I dreamt of starting a blog but my fear stood in the way. I worried about how it would look. Told myself I couldn't do it. Concerned people would view it as silly. But one day I pushed all those fears to the side, sat down and started writing stories about all the things I love. What are the things I love? Life, travel, food, style and a good night out with loved ones and friends. Embracing life and not letting age make me old. So take a look, grab a cup and I hope you enjoy what I want to share with you!

The Style Series

Welcome to "The Style Series!" This section of the TravelChic340 blog explores style for any age.  But we will focus on remaining stylish over a particular age regardless of current trends.  Keeping up with current trends but avoid becoming a trend victim.

"Don’t be into trends. Don’t make fashion own you, but you decide what you are, what you want to express by the way you dress and the way to live.” – Gianni Versace

The Traveling Foodie

Welcome to "The Traveling Foodie."  This section of the TravelChic340 blog explores and shares some local foodie spots within walking distance to those requiring a bit more transportation and planning time.  Within "The Traveling Foodie" we also have the "Restaurant Collection" which lists some of my favorite places to eat and "The Market Place" which will explore local markets and those I discover during my travels.

“Do we really want to travel in hermetically sealed popemobiles through the rural provinces of France, Mexico and the Far East, eating only in Hard Rock Cafes and McDonald’s? Or do we want to eat without fear, tearing into the local stew, the humble taqueria’s mystery meat, the sincerely offered gift of a lightly grilled fish head?” – Anthony Bourdain

The Blog Collection

"When you decide to put yourself forward in a public way starting a blog you mentally set yourself up for failure but hope for the best. It becomes more about you fulfilling a dream and a fantasy. A journey, an exploration and expression of yourself. That's where you feel real satisfaction. At the end that's the real success." - Tracy@TravelChic340
